Oxlade’s new song “Pay Me” is not about debtors!

I saw the title of the song and was like “yeah! Pay me my money quick!“. But no, the song is not about debt collection. Its about mistakes that will not “pay” in the end. The following lyrics from the song summarizes the concept perfectly:

What shall it profit a man to gain the world and lose a jewel like you
I no know (I no know)
Emi o mo (emi o mo)
I no know (I no know)

E no go pay me
E no go pay me

There you go, its actually a love song reassuring the object of his affections that he will remain faithful and not disappoint her.

What do you think?
